Urology of Virginia has provided comprehensive urological care in Hampton Roads for nearly 100 years. Founded in 1922 by Charles Devine, the practice began growing in the 1950s. The practice gained an international reputation for genitourinary reconstructive surgery, developing new surgical techniques to correct urethral strictures and hypospadias that are still used today. In 1965, Urology of Virginia became one of the few private practices in the country to have a residency program. In the 1970s, we were instrumental in helping establish Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Virginia, serving as faculty and becoming one of the first established EVMS departments.

Any guy who learns he has prostate cancer will have some uneasy moments. In conversations I had with the staff -- nurses, PAs, physicians, and administrative staff, All of them were patient, ready with answers to my questions, and prepared with the information I didn't know to ask for. In spite of the nonsense of the Covidemic, everyone at UofA was unfailingly patient and helpful.
Online check in was a convenient option. Front desk staff very welcoming. The X ray tech was friendly and personable. My provider is Dr. Sobol. I appreciate the fact that I have never felt rushed during an office visit. He encourages questions, checks for understanding, and is always clear when explaining treatment options. Dr. Sobol is extremely professional and knowledgeable at all times and has an admirable bedside manner. I am very pleased with the results of my treatment plan and overall health. Thank you Dr. Sobol for your exceptional commitment to care. Thank you Urology of Virginia for having such a great medical team and support staff.
They took excellent care of me when I was there for laser surgery to rid my right kidney of numerous large stones. They also kept my daughter updated throughout the process. They called numerous times after my surgery to check on my progress - including a call on a Saturday. I would advise anyone with urological problems to go to Urology of VA for solutions.
X-ray was done in a timely manner. After the x-ray I had to wait about a hour and a half to see MD, but that was okay as I was prepared for an extended wait. Dr. Rawls was as friendly as ever and the visit/exam went in a timely manner. I think Dr. Rawls was the only MD working that day.
Great, professional care and really good health care professionals. I would give 5 starts but I don't always get timely responses to calls and sometimes appointment times are not honored in a timely manner. Overall, I really appreciate Dr Francis Martin and her team for superior care.
Doctor Gilbert his nurse Nick are the best!!!! They actually conversate with the patient to come up with the best course of action that the patient wants and needs. My work tends to have a chaotic schedule and no matter what....their office, no matter how hectic the schedule always finds time for their patients!!
I previously met with Sydney Barrington who was very nice and most patient in explaining and answering all my questions. This visit I saw the surgeon, Dr. Martin who also gave me the prognosis and her 3 options to choose from for the procedures. She also spent time answering my concerns.
My name is Kenneth Owens. Iam a patient at Urology of Virginia. The doctors and members of the staff at the Virginia Beach office are very professional and has maintained a can-do attitude. I would recommend this organization to my family and friends. They deserve six stars...
Dr. Rawls was frank and cordial at the same time. He answered all of my questions as well as providing additional information. When I told him of the course of action (treatment) that I had decided on, he along with the checkout person (I don't recall her name now) went above and beyond my expectations to assure that my needs were met in a timely so that I could get in to visit Dr. Fabrizio as soon as possible.
No one ever wants surgery but when required you want to ensure you're in competent hands at all times. In my opinion, Urology of Virginia and specifically Dr. Greg Eure, and his staff, are exceptional. My surgery went exactly as discussed and the results have far exceeded my expectations. This group of skilled, specialized individuals work as a professional and competent team in every respect. Excellent communications from Dr. Greg Eure; Jamie the Physician Assistant; the Surgery staff; and the administrative staff to take time to fully respond to my concerns and questions before surgery and follow up. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give them a 50.
I had a very pleasant experience. PA Christine Aloia was very professional all around. She took time to explain everything to me, listen to my concerns, and offer suggestions. She was very thorough and I really appreciated that. Everything was very nice - from check-in to check-out. As I stated before, a very pleasant experience.
There must have been a mix-up with my testosterone prescription. I've run out (and not by over-using it: I *skipped* a dose in March), I was due for a dose this past Friday, and CVS doesn't think they're supposed to refill it for 2 more weeks. If y'all could sort that out and get CVS to refill my prescription today, that would be great.
